Project Overview





  • 【Goals of the project】
    Kyoto University Venture Business Laboratory has been studying development of new and sophisticated devices using nano-technology, under the theme of “the approach at the atomic or molecular level to develop advanced electronic materials”. Today, environmental and energy fields are expected for much more improvement in the 21st Century’s sci-tech world. As a part of specific activities toward environmental and energy problems which are stated in Kyoto Protocol, we set two goals of the project; 1. To develop and research comprehensively for practical application of electric cars, and 2. To educate post graduated students.



  • 【 Plans for project promotion】
    With full responsibility of VBL Director Prof. Matsushige, we plan to form an alliance with researchers who are working on the VBL Research Projects, and laboratories in various fields including electrical and electronics, physical engineering and chemistries, which are related to development of electric cars. （we have already got agreements of cooperation for the project from many professors, assistant professors, and venture companies in the VBL building.） We also plan to create systems which will give chance to post-graduate or under-graduate students to form their own development groups, and will support their activities. As for the project, it will link up with Kyoto University’s international industry-university-government cooperative projects and others in which our school is involved and the most part of its costs will be covered by VBL budgets and outside funds.



  • 【Implementation plans for the project】
    We will work on the project by taking the following steps this year.

      1.Establish the promotion plans and over view of the project.

      2.Discuss establishment of post-/under-graduate students’activity support systems and secure budgets and spaces for them if possible.

      3.Create sample models and concept cars.

      4.Discuss interim findings and progress on the project, reconfirm the promotion plans, and establish future plans.
