　Kyoto University Venture Business Laboratory and other organizations have been working on “Kyoto Electric Car Project” to propose and develop “Kyoto-Car”, a Kyoto-original eco-friendly car, by means of integration of advanced technology and Kyoto’s traditional culture and craftsmanship. In order to promote this project, we held the 2nd Kyoto Electric Car 【Kyoto-Car】Forum on February 22nd, 2008 at ROHM Plaza in Katsura Campus. We invited spokesmen from three companies which have developed electric cars and Mr. Tomotaka Takahashi, Representative of ROBO GARAGE who created a concept model car of Kyoto-Car, as guest speakers. We also had an electric car test-riding event at special course set up in the parking area. Over 60 people attended to the forum, which was far beyond our expectation of 50 participants. At the social hour after the folum, we had great opportunity to exchange our opinions and had wonderful time together.
